And infuriating at the same time. I won a 10 lap race against pro-level drivatars with a 22 placegrid penalty. I was driving the little Formula Ford ecoboost (if I’m being honest, it was pushing over 400bhp) and that thing is both great and impossible. For us pleb pad users it is impossible to make minor corrections and not swing to much of the car around while trying to “sell a dummy” to the car you are passing.
Anyway I won a tough race at Silverstone and then next race was YasMarina after I made some tuning adjustments and then the car was completely undrivable.
Anyone wants to race some time hmu on xbl @ Ridgeback9.
650s and 458 Italia frm Franklin/Nashville C&C last September.

Yas Marina sucks. I hate Yas Marina.

Agreed, fecking “Tilke-drome” fuck I cannot wait for Formula 1 testing to begin. Hoping for a total flip of the script and JB comes out pissed as fuck and drives brutal like Hunt and Senna, doing whatever it takes to win and then retiring like boss.

Have you adjusted the dead zones on your controller? I turned them off so the steering stick always inputs when it moves, makes it much easier to do the smaller steering inputs.
Also, on a mid/rear car, try swapping the antiroll bar settings; lower in front, higher in rear. Forza always has these wrong, you want the rear to be stiffer. It makes the car much more forgiving.
I also turn the diff down. I almost never had the accel above 55%. Deccel should be around 15% if you have the race diff. I also highly recommend only using the sport diff when building a car. It makes the cars so much less twitchy.
All of this may not be the ideal tuning for the fastest cars, but I prefer a car that is more forgiving which allows for more consistent laps.

I like the shorter Corkscrew config, that layout is fun.
Otherwise, yes its a very long and boring track.
I miss Maple Valley, Tsukuba, and Sunset Peninsula. Those track were great to find a rhythm with.

I don’t mind Yas Marina but I’d trade it any day for the tracks you mentioned or Suzuka. I’m kinda pissed they got rid of Maple Valley, I loved that track.

Agreed. Maple Valley is the shit.

I used to bomb around there in an F40 LM by myself just because it was such an enjoyable circuit that was just the right amount of interesting and challenging.

Have they fixed the AI jackrabbit issues yet in FM6? I haven’t played in a while since “expert” is just too easy and not fun, and “unbeatable” is the perfect difficulty except for the glitch with the first two AI’s in grid being physically impossibly fast. It was acknowledged by T10 really early on in the game’s release, but it never got fixed.

I don’t think so I struggle on long straightaway/high speed tracks and when I play on expert at Road America I cannot podium from 12th place starting.

tfw your eyes just glaze over going into tuning.
